Artist Information Biography Natives of Virginia, this duo met when Stafford called the highly-recommended Gladwell for guitar lessons. "I was taking a break from Los Angeles, and he was there from Nashville, spending the summer with his family before moving to Italy, " explains Stafford, who had been collaborating with pop songwriter, Robbie Seidman (Belinda Carlisle, Bonnie Tyler, Wilson Phillips) in Los Angeles. Gladwell, a classically trained composer and musician had been working in Nashville, performing with the New Music Ensemble, the improvisational jazz group Transcendental Crayon, and Joe Nolan; he also toured with the black gospel group, the Crawford Brothers. Plans for Italy pushed aside, Gladwell and Stafford discovered a mutual love for music and each other. They married and began recording together. Currently residing in Los Angeles, they are working on an album. Side projects include Gladwell's work with accomplished classical/flamenco guitarist Alejandro Lazo, and he recently produced the Virginia hard rock band, Pants On Fire. He has performed with noted author/film director Bruce Wagner at Wagner's recent readings, and two of his compositions appear on the "Matrix Special Edition Box Set." Stafford is currently recording an acoustic album of reworked hymns with her mother and sister.
