Biography This St. Louis-based singer-songwriter has been touring the United States since 2005. His first cd, 'Throwing Rocks At Your Ghost' (2005) was a 5-song EP mostly just Geoff and a guitar, with the occasional piano or harmonica. He released 'Live At Lucas School House' in 2006, a mastered version of a live show taken from the sound board of the then-new venue in St. Louis. With these two cd's in tow, he booked his first extended national tour, a 7-week solo effort. He's been a featured musician at major festivals and showcases across the country since then, and has accumulated awards and recognition from national and international competitions and media. In April of 2008, Geoff recorded his third cd, 'If It Feels Good, Don't Do It' in Nashville, Tennessee. It was co-produced by Ken Coomer (Wilco/Uncle Tupelo drummer), engineered by Charlie Brocco (Fleetwood Mac, George Harrison), and recorded mostly at Sixteen Ton Studios on Music Row. While the cd may be shopping for a home and songs are hunting for featured placement in television/movies, he's not waiting for things to happen. From the end of July through December of 2008, Geoff booked coast-to-coast national tours in support of his new full-length, full-band cd. 'If It Feels Good' could be the record that puts Geoff on the radar for music fans everywhere. With lines like, 'it's not that I don't like peace, but violence is a friend of mine,'(Pro-War) audiences near and far are in agreement they're bearing witness to the rise of one of the most-relevant singer-songwriters of this generation. And Geoff's performances of this material are gaining as much attention as the strength of the songs, themselves. His ability to capture and command attention from any crowd is a rare find, but the highest compliment to this talented songwriter is that he doesn't need to do much prying. It doesn't take him long behind the mic before every audience inevitably comes to him. Instrumentation Geoff Koch - vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica, loop station.
