Artist Information Biography Houston, Texas -  Phyllis A. Travis retired from the insurance industry in 2001 to devote herself full-time to www.healingstardreampath.com , her faith-based website.  Currently, Phyllis composes music and poetry, while also working as both an attorney and independent consultant to fuel her artistic dreams.  Phyllis earned her JD from New England School of Law in Boston and her BA  from the University of Houston.  A life-time Episcopalian, she also earned her Certificate in Theological Studies from Church Divinity School of the Pacific, an Episcopal seminary in Berkeley, California. Artist Statement “I began writing as a teenager in crisis, but eventually swapped out songwriting for a secure paycheck in the insurance industry.  In 2001,  I returned to my roots when a dream compelled me to Follow Faith to  Seminary, then all the way back to my soul,  3 weeks before “911” – May 20, 2009  Phyllis A.
