Artist Information

Biography
Bruce Markow (www.brucemarkow.com) is a quirky but solid neo-Folk'n'Roller with lyrical melodies, a poetic, uplifting message and a head turning, body tingling, soul gratifying garden of smart and evocative songs. His unique voice (compared by fans and peers to pop masters Van Morrison, James Taylor and Todd Rundgren) and multi-instrumental skills (with influences as diverse as traditional folk, Afro-Brazilian, gypsy swing and J.S. Bach) mark Bruce's “Demolicious4” and “Mango” solo CDs, as well as his performances and recordings with folk and world music luminaries Pete Seeger, Paul Winter and others.

Bruce's songs deftly explore -- with grace and spunk, playfulness and passion -- the wonders and woes of growing more fully alive. The Brooklyn, NY-based artist's performances convey both the deep human capacity for joy and our hunger for a world of greater peace, truth and love.
