Artist Information Biography Hailing from the cold desolate Northeast, Sofakingz are metal and hard rock's answer to lack of Pantera-like fun, energy and power in live music and entertainment. After 3 years, in New York's Capital Region, Sofakingz have collected a local cult following. With a musical style, that's a potent mix of the heaviest, funkiest, most melodic, and dirtiest riffs-Sofakingz have produced some of the best aggressive yet fun and compelling live shows around. In 2003, Sofakingz represented the Northeast as the only heavy act in a nationwide Battle of the Bands. Sofakingz placed 3rd and made it to the finals. Today, just 3 short years after winning their first local Battle of the Bands Sofakingz have already played with some of the industry's most reputable acts like Static-X, Simple Plan, Ludacris, Hoobastank, Cold, Three Days Grace and dozens more. Sofakingz first formed in Atlanta, Georgia by brothers Chad and Judd Foster. After 2 years of working with producer Anthony Dent at Sony-AMI Studios (Puff Daddy & Destiny's Child) and series of unreliable band members, Sofakingz moved back to the Northeast. Back home, Sofakingz acquired bassist Ron Fowler and drummer Art Marotta. The talents of these two extremely talented musicians have propelled Sofakingz to the level they're at today. Sofakingz is a band with the drive, love, tools and aspirations to make it to the highest level of their profession! Power, aggression, passion and pride fueled by P.B.R sums up an evening with the Sofakingz. "When you have girls dancing at a metal show, you're doing something right.
