Biography
Judy James, Lady Balladeer of Texas, Texas Touring Artist with Texas Commission on the Arts, Mid America Touring Artist, Author, and Western Music Radio Host plays the guitar and sings songs of our Western heritage. 
 
Judy has recorded three albums that include some of the finest Western Music that has been written: 
- Beneath These Western Skies- ("Lizzie¨) from this album was the #4 song in the top ten single releases in 2006 as chosen by Heartland Public Radio listeners.)
- The Gift of the Cowboy
- Cowboy Jubilee

Rich O'Brien, producer says "she is a tireless ambassador of the Great American West¨.  Included are many traditional Western songs, as well as some that Judy has written.  Singing the songs of the West and telling the history is part of every Judy James performance and has won her nominations as Female Vocalist of the Year.  Audiences find themselves singing a Western tune after Judy's concerts and knowing more about our Western heritage.

Her performances include Tombstone Western Music Festival, Western Music Festival, National Cowboy Symposium,  Elko National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, Charlie Russell Museum, Festival of the West, Lincoln County Cowboy Gathering, Texas Cowboy Gathering at Alpine, State Fair of Texas, Charles Goodnight Festival in Claude TX, the Gem Theater Home on the Range Radio Hour, Texas Cowgirl Hall of Fame, and numerous other Western Events.

Judy co-authored Parker County Legends, Trail Bosses and Wild Hosses (the true story of Oliver Loving and Charles Goodnight).  As a West Quest Award Winner and Teacher of the Year, Judy continues teaching children about our ranching heritage through her school educational programs complete with her educator's guide Western Wisdom that she authored.  New to her events this year is a four week period of summer camps for students in grades 2 -12 including Gone To Texas with Susan and Oliver Loving, Ranching in Texas featuring early ranches in Parker County and American Indians in Parker County.  Judy has co-written the curriculum and is co-directing these camps.
Each Saturday morning "Cowboy Jubilee", a two-hour radio show of Western Music and Western Heritage can be heard live on the Internet with host Judy James.  Past guests of the show include Don Edwards, Jack Hannah, Les Gilliam, Cheryl Rogers Barnett, R. W. Hampton, Ann Saunders and others.  For this show Judy has been nominated as Disc Jockey of the Year.
