Simmons (2008) Dave Simmons is a guitar player's guitarist, who is currently recording with ABR records for his third solo release. Over the past year and a half, Dave has been working with musicians from every genre of music. This experience has enabled him to redefine and explore the boundaries of shred guitar. The songs are alive and his playing is assured on this record. Dave approaches songwriting and performing with the knowledge that inanimate objects have souls and it shows throughout playing. Whether it's with the bands Trinity Method, Sound Theory Consolidated or Scattered Crayons the identifiable style and tone is always Dave Simmons. Dave is influenced by the following artists; Vernon Reid, Elmore James, Michael Hedges, Warren Cuccurullo and Steve Stevens.
