QUOTE: Overall, I found "Big City Blues" a very enjoyable album ...very tasteful playing and an obvious love for the (blues) tradition in a lot of different styles. This is a band that I’d enjoy a lot live and could heartily recommend to any blues fan". -Bruce Iglauer, founder of Alligator Records, Chicago, Illinois. BECKI SUE & HER BIG ROCKIN" DADDIES! is the Pacific Northwest's premier high-energy, low-down, powerhouse, hip-shakin' blues band. Powered by the venerable Jim King on sax, blues harp and vocals and the blast furnace guitar work of Tom "T-Boy Neal" Boyle, this band takes off like a rocket from the word "GO". Up front with Jim is Becki Sue, with her big voice, sassy attitude and a style reminiscent of the great Texas blues belters, Angela Strehli and Lou Ann Barton. Backed by the award-winning, "nailed-to-the-floor" rhythm section of Les "Wildchild" White on upright bass and Jeff "Mr. Foundation" Hayes on drums, Becki Sue & her Big Rockin' Daddies! is knockin' 'em dead everywhere with their on stage antics and ferocious blues chops. This is what the blues is supposed to sound like! Warning!!!! Becki Sue & her Big Rockin' Daddies! may seriousy damage your dancing shoes! I'd go see them anytime that I would get that chance. What a dynamite show! Very entertaining and the whole band is a smokin' outfit. T-Boy is one bad boy on the guitar.
