Biography
Mel Watson and Jen Todd are probably best know their work in the successful bands Fruit (Aust) and The Laura Love Band (USA). Mel was one of the songwriters, vocalist and horn player in Australian band Fruit.
She has appeared at countless music Festivals (with Fruit) all over the world including WOMAND USA/ AUST/ GERMANY. Bumbershoot, Bethlehem Music Fest, Canmore, Winnipeg, Falcon Ridge, Vancouver Folk, Oregon County Fair, San Diego Street Scene, Owen Sound, Hillside, California Music Fest........
She is innovative, unique and shares an endless well of creativity with other artists and fans alike.

Mel has received 19 Australian Awards for creative achievement in and around her highly acclaimed band Fruit, including 7 awards for ‘Most Outstanding Instrumentalist’. Her professional musical career began at 16 years of age and has been an Independent artist for over 20 years, possessing a relentless mind of creativity. She has released over 14 albums on various independent labels, and has been a guest musician on countless other Independent releases. She has supported artists like Micheal Frante, Bruce Cockburn, and the Neville Brothers to name a few.
Jen has been a member of the Laura Love Band for the past 8 years, and is one-half of the outrageous Laura Love Duo, touring the U.S. and Canada. Jen has the great-fortune of joining Catie Curtis, Cris Williamson and many others on-stage, adding harmony vocals and solid, tasteful guitar and mandolin. She was one third of the successful North West Trio 'Three Track Mind' receiving extensive radio airplay. Jen Released her first solo album in 2005 'Happy as we are'.

'Seed' is the 2008 release and first release from 100th Monkey Records, Mel's Indie Label. 'Seed' is totally self produced and self engineered, representing the beginning of a new collaboration between Mel and Jen. What was planned as a totally solo journey, transformed into a union of great potential.
A new released is scheduled for summer 2009.
