Artist Information Biography DETAILS magazine calls Alt-Country blues artist Erin Sax Seymour and her five piece band Hands Off My Sister, "Tough and sweet, smart and streetwise, with melodies that are mesmerizing….” The music video for the title track for the debut CD GOOD GIRL has been in rotation on CMT and VH1. This year the band  has been signed to perform the Janis Joplin song 'Piece of My Heart' for the major motion picture "Black Heart Road" and the title track for the feature film "Red Robin" starring Jeremy Sisto, Hill Harper and Claire Forlani. 2009 endorsements include TAKAMINE GUITARS and 4STROKES JEANS. Touring coast to coast, Sax Seymour and her band have been performing at legendary venues across the United States and Europe including B.B. King's, Tipitina's, The House of Blues and The Triple Door, as well as opening for great acts such as Robert Earl Keen, Marshall Crenshaw and The Samples. They have been showcase artists at the SXSW and International Folk Alliance music festivals, featured Emerging Artists at this summer's Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and have been the spotlight performers most recently on National Public Radio's 'Performance Place', 'Caravan Blues Radio Hour', and ‘Alchemist Playground’. Sax Seymour's background is in documentary filmmaking. She has traveled the world making films in diverse locations such as Texas men's prisons, Jerusalem insane asylums, California mortuaries, and Armenian monasteries. Her music is the heart and soul of the ties that bind what she has seen. Fall 2009 the band's second album, "Mercy At The Marriott" produced by Stephen Joseph, will be released.
