10+ Gigs Booked through Sonicbids! Artist Information

Biography
Next generation singer, songwriter, but moving into jazz as her career grows.  Having written over 70 songs since the age of 14, Annalee is working toward mixing her past folk experience with her new passion for jazz.  Although her roots are found with artists like Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Carol King, and other folk icons, Annalee has discovered Sarah Vaughn, Dena Washington, Ella and Lena, and other greats!  Pure, angelic vocals mix with lyrics that audiences really relate to.  Most recent jobs include local French Markets (fluent in French), community concerts, and cafes, and Chamber of Commerce events.  She recently returned from sharing music and delivering 400 bicycles in French Speaking Africa!  Annalee uses her music to benefit countries like Zambia, along with organizations like World Bicycle Relief and WorldVision.  She hopes to grow her career to continue providing these simple resources to those who need them most.  She is extremely audience friendly and comfortable with any audience size.

Instrumentation
Annalee Hooson, vocals and acoustic guitar.  Writes and plays all music herself.  Appeals to audiences 8-80!  Adding more jazz-appeal as she embarks on a new path, having fallen in love with this age-old genre.

Discography
One CD that is released locally, Rear View Mirror, has 6 songs on it.  Two of the tracks have aired on WGN-Radio Chicago AM 720.  Although songwriting seems to come naturally to Annalee, time to record does not.  She is somewhat handicapped by having to be bound to launch and complete her college education in Jazz Studies.  Annalee has plans to release three theme albums, and have 12+ original songs for each album.  Contact us for concept demos.
