Artist Information Biography Hoping to follow in her father's footsteps, Teri started playing guitar at the age of 6, and began writing songs at 8. She has performed both with bands and as a solo act ever since. During her childhood she was primarily exposed to her father's favorite jazz artists including Chet Atkins, and Earl Klugh, as well as the Mexican music of her mother's heritage. Combined with her interest in a diverse array of songwriters/musicians, Teri developed into a songwriter capable of various musical styles and perspectives. Teri views her songwriting as a gift more than a talent. "When I write a song it all comes out at once. It's like a lightening bolt hits me and everything is done in about 30 minutes. I have very little control over it." But, listenening, you can hear the impact of life experiences through her songs, and there's no question - her life is as distinct as her music. For a complete tour of "Answer Me" visit Teri's official website where you can hear clips from every song. "Answer Me" is also available through iTunes, and you can catch Teri's music on the "Women of Substance" radio program on Live365.com Instrumentation Teri A.
