Biography
Coming from the Greater Toronto Area provided a rich breeding ground for the convincing sounds of USED FOR GLUE. Fans are quick to point to the stamp of 70s stadium music like Cheap Trick, Elton John and The Who embedded in the sound. Mix this with some less obvious and lesser known Jellyfish, Walter Schreifels and Spoon influences, and it becomes not so easy to pin down, but even harder to turn off.

After some informal jams, it soon became apparent that a long-time friendship helped inspire a creative chemistry all very naturally. Songs and ideas brought to the table were filtered and bantered about without fear of hurt feeling and bruised egos. Each member works to his strengths and wants whats best for the song. Theres no self-important musical acrobatics. The strength is in the chemistry and the results show in the music.

Having played in this arrangement only a handful of shows, they are definitely no strangers to slugging it out live, having appeared in their former bands alongside a wide range of artists from I Mother Earth, The Marble Index, System of a Down to Max Webster and even Alannah Myles. Used For Glues blend of rock, pop and natural energy finds them crossing over to a wide variety of audiences.

After recording a couple of test demos, Used For Glue have now finished up an EP: Stand-by...Channel Two. Its a four-song showcase demonstrating a knack for catchy tunes with a fresh upbeat style. After a quick listen you find yourself humming afterwards, wondering how that song became stuck in your head. From the quick back and forth of Just Now to the Hey-that-would-make-a-great-beer-commercial of Light It Up, it demonstrates a diversity that doesnt stray too far from their grounding point.

Used for Glue consists of the brothers Sean (gtr) and Jamie Taylor(drums), Sean Trombley (vox, gtr), Adam Dorey (bass), and recently added keyboard player Brett Caswell. They are currently promoting the release of Stand-by...Channel Two to a steady stream of growing support. At the same time theyre hard at work in the studio, recording more songs to satisfy the surging fan base. Ride the wave.
