Artist Information Biography Dan Rivers musical journey began at an early age. There was always music filling the air of his childhood home. His father, a novice guitar player and singer, was just skilled enough to get his son's attention to the two art forms. Dan got his first acoustic guitar at the age of nine and it soon became as natural to play and sing as it is to take a breath of air...he has never looked back and is completely self taught, playing by ear only. Since those first, but all important formative years Dan has performed his music & songs in front of live audiences across the United States and is known to many as 'The singing Marine' due to his former active duty status. Dan continues to write songs and perform in front of a live audience as often as he can. In 2008, Dan performed in over 150 solo acoustic shows for a wide variety of venues small, medium or large. Dan is proud to announce that he will be a musical act on opening day at the Ohio State Fair on July 29, 2009! He will be performing at the Coca Cola Gazebo.
