June 2009 performed for a sold out crowd at the Douglas Township Days Festival in Kennetcook NS February 2009 performed at the East Coast Music Awards for the ECMA Bluebird North Showcase with Bruce Guthro, Steven Bowers, Don Brownrig and Chris Picco December 2008 JD is nominated for 2 East Coast Music Awards in the categories, Country Recording of the year and CBC Galaxie Rising Star Recording of the year. He was also asked to perform in the ECMA Bluebird North Showcase during the conference weekend held in Corner Brook Newfoundland. JD gets his first cut in a movie soundtrack with �Do You Remember� which is off of his latest album. The movie is an independent thriller that will be released in various theatres in the US, UK and Asian Countries. JD releases his first Christmas song titled �I�m All About Christmas� November 2008 JD traveled to Nashville to begin writing for his new CD for 2010. He had a full week writing with Adam Wheeler (Nobel Vision Music), Willie Mack (Ole Music), Kirsti Manna, Tim Taylor, and Steve Fox. One of the songs written was JD first Christmas song titled �I�m All About Christmas� co-written with Steve Fox and released to radio across Canada. October 2008 JD makes the first round of industry voting to be placed on a ballot for a Grammy Award nomination in 7 categories. September 2008, was asked to perform at the CCMA's at the songwriter cafe with Canadian Country Stars Johnny Reid, Jason Blaine and Hey Romeo. August 2008, was asked to perform for the New Glasgow Jubilee and shared the stage with Deric Ruttan and Dave Gunning. July 2008, JD releases his 4th single titled "Only Every Other Day" which was co-written with fellow Canadian singer songwriter, Steve Fox. July 2008, JD Headlined for a packed house during the Canada Day celebrations in Bridgewater, NS. June 2008 JD celebrated the official release of his brand new CD " SATISFIED" after the releas JD hit the road to promote the new album covering most of Canad a as well as the mid west United States. The album currently has 3 songs charting nationally in Canada. March 2008, Signed on with award-winning U.S A&R firm Big Noise. Big Noise has represented the likes of Christina Aguilera, Chicago, Katharine McPhee, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Bowling for Soup and many others. Feburary 2008, travelled to the Daytona 500 to perform for the Nascar Members Club. June 2007, JD is asked to perform at the International Folk Music Festival,Stan Rogers Festival in Canso, NS. April 2007, JD left for Nashville to finish recording the songs for the completion off his second album scheduled to be released sometime in the early spring of 2008. March 2007 performed with one of Canadas largest country stars, Aaron Pritchette at the Astor Theatre in Liverpool, NS to kick off Aarons Canadian Tour. January 2007, JD released his single "Somethin Bout You" and was quickly picked up by national and several international stations. December 2006, JD began recording his new album with CCMA award winning producer/singer/songwriter Steve Fox (Nashville, USA) and CCMA award winning singer/songwriter Duane Steele (Red Deer, AB). November 2006, JD wins the Music Nova Scotia Country/Bluegrass recording of the year Award for his debut album "All That Matters". JD shared the stage with the multi-award winning Celtic group the Barra MacNeils and entertained a sold out crowd at the Astor Theatre. JD played another sold out show at the historic Mersey House that same evening. September 2006, JD was asked to perform in the highly anticipated songwriters cafe at the Canadian Country Music Awards held in St. John, New Brunswick. There he shared the stage with fellow east coast writers, Ron Hynes and Matt Minglewood, as well as Krista Scoggins from Alberta. August 2006, New Glasgow Jubilee; JD shared the stage on the country night with one of Canada's biggest stars Aarron Prichett and internationally acclaimed songwriter, Ron Hynes. Here JD played to a crowd of 6000 plus; after finishing his set was asked to go back out for an encore acoustic performance. Earlier in the day he had played another festival in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Sam Slick Days, where he entertained thousands. July 2006, JD performed for a sold out crowd of 4000 plus where he shared the stage with Canadian Country singing star George Canyon. June 2006, JD was invited to perform in Maui, Hawaii in front of 7000 fans, at their largest rodeo held in Makawao. There he performed selected shows throughout the island. He was sponsored by a local western wear store called Aloha Cowboy. Immediately after returning home JD hit the road with Canadian Recording Artist Aaron Lines.<br> September 2005, JD travels to the CCMAs in Calgary and lands a spot on the Candian Christmas tour, with Sean Hogan, Jason Blaine, Duane Steele, Jaime Warren, and Diane Chase.
