Since the recent release of the debut album entitled, Mama Raised a Good Boy, Rik Reese and his band have been working tirelessly for their spot in the East Coast Music scene. The hard work is certainly paying off as Reese and his band have already opened for the likes of the legendary Kentucky Headhunters, Blue Rodeo, George Canyon, Julian Austin, Matt Minglewood, Lennie Gallant, 1755, & The Divorcees. Having returned from a pair of successful showcase performances at the 2009 East Coast Music Awards, the first single and title track, Mama Raised a Good Boy was released to country radio. To date, the single is receiving air play across Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Netherlands, UK and is charting Top 40 in Japan! A follow up single is slated for the top of the new year.
The album has received an overwhelming number of favorable reviews and was selected on the list of Top 12 Canadian Country albums for 2008 by Country Music News.
