Being self taught, there was nobody around to tell him that he was freakin' crazy. Overcoming the challenges of this environment caused him to be unusually fast, skillful, versatile and personable. In fact, almost impossibly so. He has evolved into a super hero among entertainers and a legend among caricaturists. His secret powers are that he is immune to the speed, space, lighting and environmental limitations that inhibit other artists and entertainers from performing. He often books by the amount of guests expected and challenges himself to draw and entertain every single one of them! Adam is the professional entertainer with the courage to go above and beyond your expectations and meet any logistical challenge you dish out. (Oh, he is available for kids parties too, FYI.) Instrumentation Party caricature specifics: NEW FOR 2008!!! In an effort to improve his karma, be all squeaky "green" and go eco-friendly, Adam has begun using industrial lumber crayons and discontinued use of those boring old Sharpie markers he's been using for the past 80 years... Lumber crayons were created to mark logs at lumber stock yards. The 1/2" thick crayons were designed by the logging industry to be waterproof, non toxic, biodegradable and create absolutely no post consumer waste. They are made of a wax derivative which is very smooth, provides the ultimate in rich, dark line quality and allows an impressive variety of different tones to improve the depth of the drawing, which is simply not possible with a traditional ink marker. When used with 100% recycled paper, Adam's production is about 99.9% carbon neutral. It's true that it's a small step for the environment but it's a huge step for a progressive uber-geek caricaturist! A good idea, a better product, and a truly unique one at that! Now if they would just hurry up and invent a teleporter... The paper used is the heaviest and brightest 8.5" x 11", 100% recycled paper available.  It is easy to make copies from, find a frame for and a good all around size to take home and hang on your wall or scan and use digitally. You can even advertise or put your message on the front or (preferably) back of the paper. Instead of an easel, caricatures are drawn on a forms holder clipboard type jobby thinger from Avery which allows the options of sitting in a central location or strolling around the room to be equally desirable to him. The drawing board is covered with a foam sheet to provide a smooth drawing surface for the crayons Adam uses. Because of his speed and short attention span, Adam is well suited for promotions,  parties and other kinds of events where there is a lot going on and lots of people to draw. It is best to keep him busy, busy, busy!! Adam brings his own signage for most events. The sign is positioned on a tripod to bring maximum attention to his location. On the sign is a one minute time clock so that people watching may time him. He encourages guests to watch him draw and even time him. He's not bothered by people looking over his shoulder at all, in fact he insists! It's sometimes more fun to watch than it is to be drawn! (Adam does not use the sign when strolling) When sitting, he only needs 3 or 4 chairs to get started. If strolling he just jumps right into the crowd and starts sketching. Adam uses Amark brand Industrial Lumber Crayons and Prismacolor ArtStix for color drawings. Black and white SuperSketches are Adam's specialty, but the color option is available for when you have fewer guests and more time for entertainment (Please allow about 3-5 minutes per color drawing/body gags. Yield= about 15 drawings per hour). Other sizes and mediums are available upon request. Studio caricatures: Caricatures are fun and useful for all sorts of things. Highly finished artwork can be used on promotional material, as wall of fame pictures, retirement gifts, party favors, illustrations for magazines and whatever else you can think of!
