Biography
We are Blak.Ops.Connections a band/production group from Detroit. We have existed since 1999 in good standing and we are pleased to offer the best in original diverse production. We excel in many different genres but we are grounded in pop, dance, jazz, hip-hop, reggae, caribbean, soul, rhythm and blues, and inspirational/gospel. We formed Blak.Ops.Connections to promote diverse music instead of only an image. Simply, we are humble, authentic, original, and look forward to presenting at many venues, festivals, clubs, and other opportunities.

Runner Ups are based on the point system alone. The judges each month are given forms to rank the songs they receive on elements like structure, melodies, music, lyrics, etc...... This is what the Winners and Finalists are selected by. The Runner Ups are based on high scores from the judges.

Regarding how many songwriter's receive placement in the contest, only a small percentage of the songs entered ever receive any placement. This would include the Runner Up placement. Though we are not allowed to disclose the actual scores from the judges, it is important to note that the Runner Up placements are the highest ranked songs right under the Winners and Finalists.
