100+ Gigs Booked through Sonicbids! Artist Information

Biography
Making waves in their local scene of Hamilton Ontario, GRUVE has played such events as Rogers Spring Music Fest in Hamilton, Festival of Friends in Hamilton, Bookies Nu Music Nite at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Fred Eaglesmith’s Picnic in Aylmer and the Come Together Music Fest in Durham to name a few.

GRUVE has also shared the stage with Dean Lickyer, Cage The Elephant, Rebel Emergency, The Jimmy Swift Band, Mr Something Something, Street Pharmacy, Walk Off the Earth and many more.
The band  prides themselves on being a very diverse band having the ability to mesh with a variety of shows and bands.

With a second full length album under their belts (recorded at Hamilton’s Catherine North Studios in downtown Hamilton, also City and Colour, Feist, Kathleen Edwards etc...), the three piece has put a lot of effort into making their live show a high energy party atmosphere, forcing people to their feet and getting them moving.

Covering many musical styles, the band has over thirty original songs ranging from up tempo reggae inspired music to dirty slide guitar tracks to jammy dance songs, not forgetting to pepper their sets with popular covers when needed, from bands that inspire them, ranging from Sublime to the Hip to the John Butler Trio.

Hitting the halfway mark of 2009 GRUVE has played close to 50 shows already this year. The goal for the remainder of the year is simple; play as much as possible, in as many different cities as possible.
