Biography The Whethermen features Pat Haberl on lead vocals and guitar, Andre Beaulieu on bass and backing vocals and Gord Rogers on drums. The band has been playing its original material for more than 3 years. The Whethermen's first cd "Evolver" (released under the band's former name "Monkeys With Guns") was given positive reviews. Nyrock called their sound “kind of college-frat rock stuff, more rocking than Dave Matthews, but not as rough as Pearl Jam”. Author Bobby Borg said that “Choruses are catchy, over all the music is fun. You have a refreshing sound; something needed back on the radio”. Stig Wennevold, a Senior Engineer with FEIDE in Denmark said that "it (Evolver) is the sort of solid quality album that grows on you, and I suspect it will keep finding its way back into my player many years from now". “Livid Sky” off of Evolver was licensed for use in the movie Killer Bees which is now available for rental at most national chain DVD rental outlets. “Fade to Black”, also off of Evolver, was licensed for use in the FOX TV production “Higher Ground” which was distributed world wide. The second cd, the self titled effort (“The Whethermen”) was released in November 2008.
