The city of Fresno, California just got hotter from the heat being generated by hometown howlers, Six Ounce Gloves. Exhibiting a sound that's both unique and familiar they come across like a demon spawn of Tool and Stone Temple Pilots. Their driving force is obviously not cheap stardom but rather a genuine passion for what they do, which is simply, ROCK.
Six Ounce Gloves bring a hardworking, no frills, "anytime, anywhere" attitude to a scene filled with arena-courting posers. These guys are no flavor of the month. Their song "Where Do I Go" has modern rock anthem stamped on it's beautifully bruised facade. In fact it's already climbed to 2 most requested song on KRZR 103.7 in California and has been nominated by the LA Music Awards for Best Song Of The Year. This unshakable defiance has landed them on the stage with chart topping heavyweights Sum 41, Korn, Queens Of The Stone Age & Breaking Benjamin to name a few.
Named National Independent Hard Rock band Of The Year at the Hollywood Fame Awards,followed by receiving Male Vocalist of the year from the South Bay Music Awards. Six Ounce Gloves is not just another cookie cutter band. Their aggressive nature is balanced by warm harmonies and lightning rod precision unearthed from a headstrong hard working aesthetic which is a refreshing departure from rock n' rolls multitude of cliches'.
