Biography
Singer/songwriter Angela Predhomme sings from the heart and soul with a smooth, expressive voice, and delivers songs that are gaining national recognition. Recent accomplishments by this blossoming songwriter include exclusive publishing contracts with LA and Nashville publishers, and the grand prize win of a contest in which her song was professionally recorded and marketed to the film/TV industry. Her song “Too Much Time” topped the Indie Pop chart at YourStage.com at #1 in November 2008.

Future exposure is a good bet, with her songs currently being pitched for film, TV and web through San Francisco's OpticNoise licensing agency. With increasing worldwide streaming radio play, her music and songwriting credits are consistently growing. Recent comments from a Nashville Music Row executive include, “vocals are a 10 out of 10,” and “excellent songwriting.”

This growing musical success would not be possible without the skilled direction, production and instrumental work of her collaborators. Finishing production on her debut full-length cd in December 2008, she has been supported by some of the Detroit's best talent.

Music has been her number one passion since childhood. Angela's first instrument was the piano, and she later took up the acoustic guitar. Early on, she was influenced by both the 50’s R & B that her dad listened to and her mom’s pop albums, which included masters of melody Carol King and Barry Manilow. Growing up in the Detroit area where Motown music invokes a special pride, Angela was exposed to the great work of artists like Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson. Major influences include The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Ray Charles, and phenomenal vocalists KD Lang, Bonnie Raitt, Sarah McLaughlin, Jewel and Norah Jones.

Always striving to grow as a composer, singer and musician, she never stops analyzing music theory and pushing herself as a singer and composer. Angela is an active member of songwriting groups NSAI, SongU, and Songwriters Anonymous. With the goal of making music that can stand up with the best of the best, Angela Predhomme will continue to develop her honest, thoughtful songwriting, and her captivating, bluesy voice.
