Biography
Although a classically trained musician, having studied the flute at the Canberra School of Music I enjoy both playing and writing music in many styles.
I played keyboards and co-wrote in an original rock band during the 90s and more recently have played in various classical and cabaret groups.
Over the past 18 months I have taken my songwriting to a higher level. Part of the process has been to team up with and develop a strong collaboration with lyricist Rita Bratovich.
We have received some great feedback and interest in our songs from publishers here in Australia.
The song "Too Much Too Soon" was selected from over 300 songs for inclusion on the Songsalive Sampler No. 9 to be released later this year. It was also shortlisted in the Ballad section of the ASA songwriting competion 2007.
The song "Know" was a top 20 finalist in the Pop Ballad section of the 2007 Unisong Songwriting competion as well as finalist in the October Song Universe Song of the Month competition.
