Biography As featured on WXRT's Local Anaesthetic & in Under the Radar Growing up and getting a cubicle jobs is the classic last chapter of a rock band. But for Chicago based Wally Dogger, it's inspiration for clever songwritting and long hours in the van. The band's fourth release, "We've Turned into Monsters" (from their own label, The Congo is Left), is clearly a testament to this: tongue-in-cheek anthems salute the 9 to 5s, 401ks, and "Jeans Days" we've all grown so accustomed to. The trio works together in an I/T department -- as the Chicago RedEye states, "the members of Wally Dogger are the guys in the cubicle near you, literally." When the group isn't disgruntling repairing laptops, they're creating confessional, guitar driven pop gems with hints of "Stephen Malkmus, Cracker, and Lou Reid," according to WXRT's Richard Milne. The band layers organs, vibraphones, and actual office intercom pages in their new album resulting in a lush, energetic, and unforgettable sound. ----WATCH VIDEOS---- www.youtube.com/wallydogger ----HEAR MORE SONGS---- www.myspace.com/wallydogger www.wallydogger.com/media.htm RADIO AIRPLAY: 93.1 FM WXRT (Chicago, IL) 91.3FM WYEP (Pittsburgh, PA) 88.7 FM WLUW (Chicago, IL) 88.1 FM KDHX (St. Louis, MO) Westside Will Radio (Chart Topper on Top 10 Unsigned Artist Countdown) VENUES PLAYED: -----Illinois----- Schuba's (Chicago) Subterranean (Chicago) Otto's (DeKalb) Bottom Lounge (Chicago) Reggie's (Chicago) PK's (Carbondale) Beat Kitchen (Chicago) Martyrs' (Chicago) Paulie's (Bloomington) Wise Fools Pub (Chicago) XO Underground (Morris) WLUW Full on Friday Show (Chicago) -----Michigan----- Mac's (Lansing) Corktown Tavern (Detroit) Elbow Room (Ypsilanti) Garden Bowl (Detroit) The Belmont (Hamtramck) 2500 Club (Detroit) Juke's (Grand Rapids) Paycheck's Lounge (Hamtramck) -----Wisconsin----- Mad Planet (Milwaukee) The Crystal Corner (Madison) High Noon Saloon (Madison) IQ's (Green Bay) The Warehouse (LaCrosse) Planet Supply (St. Croix Falls) Mickey's (Madison) Stonefly Brewery (Milwaukee) Club Tavern (Middleton) McAuliffe's Pub (Racine) The Stone's Throw (Eau Claire) -----Iowa----- Iowa City Yacht Club (Iowa City) Shooter's Hideaway (Des Moines) The Casbah (Ottumwa) The Reverb (Cedar Falls) -----Missouri----- Fredderick's (St. Louis) Two Cents Plain (St. Louis) Cicero's (St. Louis) El Torreon (Kansas City) -----Minnesota----- Fine Line (Minneapolis) Rookie's (Rochester) -----Nebraska----- Duffy's (Lincoln) The Mussette (Omaha) - Mid America Music Festival -----Ohio----- Wilbert's (Cleveland) Dirty Jack's (Cincinnati) Peach's (Yellow Springs) -----Pennsylvania----- Howler's Coyote Cafe (Pittsburgh) Dr. Watson's Pub (Philadelphia) -----New York----- Arlene's Grocery (New York City) -----Florida----- The French Quarter (Jacksonville) Tir Na Nog (Daytona Beach) The Lincoln Beach (Daytona Beach) Jazzid (Miami) -----Indiana----- Melody Inn (Indianapolis) -----Tennessee----- The Rally Point (Memphis) -----Louisiana----- The Green Space (New Orleans) -----CANADA----- Call the Office (London, ON) Instrumentation Pauly Doerr - Vocals, Bass, Keyboards, Vibraphone Swerve - Guitars, Vocals Matt Donehoo - Drums, Vocals, Percussion Discography We've Turned into Monsters (2008) I Surrender, When Do I Start?
