Artist Information Biography Marv Machura, described by Penguin Eggs Magazine as a "winning singer and talented guitar player," is a popular singer-songwriter and bandleader. A veteran singer, performing artist, and guitar player, Machura’s music follows in the tradition of contemporary roots artists like Fred Eaglesmith, Steve Earle, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian Tyson, John Denver, etc. creating a wide demographic appeal. Audiences of all ages can relate his unique, authentic Western Canadian and classic folk, rock, blues, and country songs. Audiences are draw to Machura’s unassuming manner and charm and are won over by his clear, expressive vocals and dynamic guitar playing on a range of original and cover tunes performing solo or with his band: The Marv Machura Band. His two critically acclaimed discs (2003, 2004) have been supported by radio stations across Canada and have landed significant air and internet radio play in Europe and the USA. Although he has published over 20 songs in Nashville, Machura is primarily known as narrative singer-songwriter and guitar-player whose music continues to define the Western Canadian experience. The Marv Machura Band are a three-piece, roots (folk/rock/blues/country) band that includes Machura on guitar and voice along with electric bass and drums.
