Biography
Dust off your boom boxes, fishbowl platforms and throw on your best three piece suit. The nostalgic sound of Hyphen One and Daylow cross-pollinates the stylings of hip-hop, funk, soul, reggae and latin music to keep audiences moving. With groove oriented rhythms, infectious melodies, and seductive harmonies; Hyphen One and Daylow stimulate the mind, body and soul. If you can dig it, we'll fill the hole. So get up, get down; move it on all around, front to back, side-to-side, cause we're making you feel all right! And here's proof:

Hyphen One & Daylow have everything needed to satisfy the musical cravings of the masses.  They're an 8 piece band; including front man eMCee Hyphen One, female vocalist Ruby, full horn section, and percussionist.  They have a respectable and surprising resume of national acts, industry affiliations, and have performed at countless venues all over the East Coast.

"I See the World" off of their 7 song EP Hyphen One and Daylow released in 2005 was the #1 selected song by Industry Panel Judges out of thousands of independent bands for a "Download For The Cure" Compilation CD Competition. Since then, they've been sharpening their skills - writing, playing and working on their collective sound.

In the summer of 2008 they released their first independent full-length album Ill Regular mixed by Chris Badami (Crash Romeo, Dillinger Escape Plan) and mastered by Scott Hull (Steely Dan, Herbie Hancock, John Mayer, Ziggy Marley). With over 200 copies sold at their CD release party, and more selling like hotcakes on I-tunes and CD baby, this group is on the rise - steadily touring, gaining fans, friends, exposure and industry attention.
