Biography
Rodney Hayden has been featured in People Magazine, Billboard, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, No Depression, CMT, Country Weekly and countless other magazines and newspapers.  He has been building up a loyal fanbase since his first album "The Real Thing" in 2001, by playing such festivals and venues as the Fillmore, Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic, The Big State Festival, Robert Earl Keen's Texas Uprising, Wolfdance, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater's in Houston and San Antonio, The Grand Ole Opry Plaza, Billy Bob's Texas, Austin City Limits Festival, The Houston Astrodome and the list goes on.  In 2003 Hayden released "Living The Good Life" on Audium/Koch Records which was produced by Texas/Americana legend Robert Earl Keen, it was the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut "The Real Thing" produced by non other than Tony Brown (George Strait, Vince Gill, Reba, Gary Allan).  In April 2007 Hayden took the reigns as producer on his 3rd album "Down The Road", released on his newly formed label "Palomino Records."  The album was named by CMT as one of the top 10 independent albums of the year.  Hayden and band recently returned from their 5th European tour which saw them play sold out shows in France and Italy.  July 26, 2008 marked the first "Rodney Hayden Music Festival" in McCoy, TX and was a big success.  The 2nd festival is in the works for October 2009.  Hayden's 4th album "12 Ounce World" was on many critics top 10 lists for 2008 and also included "Huntsville" which was picked as the song of the year on The9513.com - for more information visit www.rodneyhayden.com
