BACKLINE doesn't sound like any band that I've heard and they can play, and play fast too. The guitarist is just a monster player. Great vocal sound, again like nobody I've heard, but still classic sounding -- I hear maybe traces of Joey Ramone, Anthony of Chili Peppers, Jim Morrison and Iggy Pop in his style but not really sounding like any of them. I watched the video and listened to the audio. I thought they were great. I cant imagine these guys not getting a record deal -- if there is such a thing anymore, and if kids still buy records. But they're a live band and I could see them getting asses in seats. Except nobody will be sitting, they ll be rocking out."

"BACKLINE is the best punk band that has entered my Sonic Bids competition. These punks can play and they are older than the Jonas Brothers so they have experience. I say that because they have threatened my family and are desperate to write and rock in the vein of my friend Iggy Stooge who said these guys have a bad attitude. The Recipe: Take two aggressively revved up rebels straight outta Philly and plop them down in the middle of a SoCal suburb. To one, add a pounding Ibanez SRX400 bass and to the other, a ridiculously shredded Flying V.
Mix in one native Cali skater/power drummer with a passion for punk and a passion for thrashin and a custom Epiarch Kit.
Then crank up the heat with a killer vocalist, hammering rhythm and slide on a wicked Gibson SG. Mix it all together with a slammin Roadhouse HardRock N Punk SOUND (all original/ no covers/ first artists in a new genre!), top it with a thick layer of insane hormones, raw power and informed consent, let it rise on its own and then pour it through Marshall and Mesa full stacks and breath fire into it until it tastes like...
