Abbie draws inspiration from life and the roots of all music. She soaks up her favourite moments of rock, folk, country, soul and blues to create what she nicknames as "Rootsy Toons".
Having grown up on a healthy diet of her fathers JJ Cale, Rickie Lee Jones, Tom waits , Bobbie Gentry and Tony Joe White Records (just to condense it down for you) Abbie has managed to grow up in Australia and condense her American influences into her own style.
This was proved when she won the 2005 BMI Song Contest held in Hawaii.
