ESTUSHA

The only daughter of a scientist father and a mother devoted to the arts and psychology.

Estusha grew up in the mountains of Mexico, New York and California, where the incredible environments were very fertile for the development of her talent. Her parents separated , did everything in their power to encourage the passions of Estusha, first theater and then music, which is her primary motivation.
Influenced by the works of his father Dr. Jacobo Grinberg-Zilberbaum, about shamans of Mexico. Estusha tunes her singing style through ceremonies of the indigenous people of mesoamerica and in all parts of Americas.

In 1994 Estusha is one of the principal creators of “Heaven and Earth” First world music project in Mexico, produced by WEA (Warner Bros.) in which the vocalist of the group Yes Jon Anderson participates.
In 1996 her second production Rasa Loka, including songs and instruments from Africa and India, using her unique singing style.

1997 her third album Vakna Kobal, born with sounds from cultures around the world, mixing her voice ,with this mesoamerican influence, and contemporary music. This album was produced independently, and in 2007 Global E rak PUTUMAYO Mexico retakes the album and makes a new edition of it.
In 2002 a stroke is forcing a pause in her discography, and for eight years Estusha dedicates her life to her daughters, her musical compositions and its participation as curator and artistic director in some cultural festivals like Tamoanchan World music in Morelos among others .

In 2010 Estusha reprises her discographic production with "Transitions" musicalizing the book of poems by her disappeared father in 1994, "Chants of Illuminated Iignorance" .
In 2011 she produces " Brasil do Mexico" in appreciation of the great masters of Brazilian music, which have been a major influence in her music.

In 2012 her sixth album "Music of the world in Mexico" that fuses ethnic and traditional Mexican music with sounds from different cultures.
In 2014 she brings in toghether in one pot all her previous projects to create a spectacle called:
"World modern ethnic celebration"
That celebrates the ethnic and natural diversity that exists in the world. With a great promotion for the environmental protection and ethnic groups in the world, which for over twenty years have been the two most important issues for Estusha’s consciousness.
This is the last spectacle of Estusha, it’s a hymn to the integration of cultures, and the protection of our natural heritage.
Estusha opens our senses and our spirit with a spectacle of music, dance and images that remind us of our own nature.
Her message is simple and beautiful at once: Protect and integrate in daily life our natural and cultural heritage, breaking down barriers that prevent us from having what we inherited as a human race.
This project is not just a show for entertainment, it is a way to raise funds for ONGS committed to the environment and the protection of ethnic groups in the world.
