2015 Folk on The Rocks

Folk on the Rocks is booking up to 10 Sonicbids artists for their 2015 event. Selected acts are compensated around $1500.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Folk on the Rocks features over 24 hours of programming between six stages and 30 acts while offering an array of culinary delights at the international and traditional food fair. The festival takes place on a crystal clear, subarctic lake fringed by ancient rock with 4,000 attendees.

Music includes both contemporary and traditional folk jam alongside some of the country's coolest indie-starlets.  Performers and visitors come from all over the world to experience the unique intimate setting of Folk On The Rocks, where Canadian and international artists play alongside some of the incredible home-grown talent of Canada's three northern territories, The NWT, The Yukon and Nunavut.

• Support sets are 30-45 minutes
• Headliner sets are generally over 60 minutes
• All performances outdoors
• Backline is provided (special requests granted on case by case basis)
• Professional sound and engineer provided

• Compensation is provided and negotiated at the time of booking
• Flights and accommodations are covered
• Artists receive passes and allowed one guest pass per member
• Food and drink provided
• Artists may sell merchandise and retain 85% of sales
