2015 On Location: Memphis Film & Music Festival

On Location: Memphis has 10 slots for Sonicbids bands to perform on one of its three official stages on September 4th & 5th, 2015. Selected acts may sell merch on site.

The 16th Annual On Location: Memphis (formerly the Memphis International Film Festival) has a reputation for showcasing some of the finest independent films from around the world. For the past five years, the festival has showcased music through music videos and live performances. For its sweet 16 year, ON LOCATION will launch the OL:M Music Festival in conjunction with the OL:M Film Festival.

Memphis, Tennessee is known as the home of the blues, the birthplace of rock 'n' roll. Despite all of the wonderful Memphis attractions, musicians have said what sets this festival apart from others is the hospitality. The Memphis community is rich in musical history and talent. On Location: Memphis' mission is to advance, educate and inspire filmmakers, musicians, students and professionals in the cinema and music arts. Their goal is to collaborate with other organizations to strengthen the film and music community and boost the economic development of Memphis.

• Preferred genres include rock, R&B/soul, country, rap/hip-hop, blues, acoustic, jazz and electronic 
• The festival is looking for bands and artists that are looking to build their fan base and have an active social media presence
• Acts wishing to play evening slots must be age 21+ to perform; day-time slots will be reserved for those not yet 21

Details:

• Set times range from 20-45 minutes
• The festival will provide a basic backline. The specific equipment list will be provided closer to festival time
• Bands will be scheduled on either September 4 or 5, 2015, at Cooper Walker Place, the official OL:M Music Festival location 

• Selected acts may sell merch on site and keep 100% of the sales
• Food and drinks provided
• Selected acts will receive passes to the festival
