Confirmed artists for 35 Denton 2012 include Built to Spill, The Mountain Goats, Bun B, The Raincoats, Thee Oh Sees, John Vanderslice, Cities Aviv and more./n/nJUST ANNOUNCED: Returning to Denton, TX, for their first time since 2001, Built to Spill has been added to the 35 Denton lineup.

35 Denton is a walkable 4-day music festival programmed in the heart of downtown Denton – the other, smaller, music town in Texas, March 8-11, 2012. Run by a core staff of volunteers, 35 is committed to sustaining an intimate experience that serves art in an energized urban space. 35 strives to program remarkable music and above all, it values artists and exchange, promoting a community that transcends the event. Confirmed artists for 35 Denton 2012 include The Raincoats, John Vanderslice, Designer Drugs, Cities Aviv, The Mountain Goats, Bun B, and Thee Oh Sees.

35 Denton (formerly NX35/35 Conferette) has booked nearly 300 Sonicbids artists since 2009 and have guaranteed to select at least 60 artists in 2012. Selected artists will receive wristbands, food, drink, and other
to-be-announced amenities. Note: Artists are responsible for travel expenses and housing. Visit the 35 Denton website for special rates on Denton-area hotels/motels.

35 Denton takes place at participating venues within the very
walkable downtown area surrounding the Denton courthouse square. This year some confirmed venues are: Hailey's, Rubber Gloves, Dan's, Andy's, The Labb, Banter, J & J's, and Denton Square Donuts.


Previous performers include: Flaming Lips, Midlake, Big Boi, Reggie Watts, Grammy Winner Mavis Staples, Dr. Dog, Mister Heavenly, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Neon Indian, Local Natives, !!! and Big Freedia.
