Bestival, taking place each September on the lovely Islse of Wight, was named Best Major Festival by the UK Festival Awards in 2010 and Fan Favourite Festival in 2011. Originally started in 2004, the festival has grown into one of the UK's top festival events, drawing over 50,000 people in 2011.

The 2012 event will take place between Thursday 6th and Sunday 9th September 2012 at Robin Hill Countyside Adventure Park. Acts already announced include Stevie Wonder, Florence + The Machine, New Order, Sigur Ros, The XX, Friendly Fires, Justice, and Spiritualized, with many more to be announced. Selected bands will be compensated for their performance (subject to mutual agreement).

Curated by DJ and record producer Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1), the festival has featured headliners like The Prodigy, The Flaming Lips, Dizzee Rascal, Massive Attack, Kraftwerk, Elbow, MGMT, My Bloody Valentine, Amy Winehouse, Underworld, Aphex Twin, Beastie Boys, The Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream, Gogol Bordello, Pet Shop Boys, Scissor Sisters, Röyksopp, The Magic Numbers, Super Furry Animals, Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim, Zero 7, and many many more.
