Friday July 3rd: Unwritten Law (Suburban Noize Records); Big B (Suburban Noize Records); Boy Hits Car (Wind Up Records); Jet Stream (RCA Records); Year of the Dragon - featuring Dirty Walt of Fishbone; Kut U Up (Reunion Show) from Blink 182’s MTV Special & DVD “Riding in Vans with boys”; Joe Wood of TSOL; JR Richards of Dishwalla


July 4th: Bside Players (Concord Records); Military Salute; Blackbryd McNight from George Clinton’s P-Funk Allstars with Devon Windel of Steely Dan; Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde; The Matches (Epitaph Records); The Material (Runner up in the MTV mountain dew contest); The Mudd Flapps featuring Gretchen Bonaduce; and Lil Uno (Sicko Records).


All genres are accepted, and California Music Fest is reserving 30 slots for Sonicbids artists.



California Music Fest will be booking talent from all over the country on the outdoor stage located in Ventura’s Entertainment District’s downtown park, as well as 15 of the downtown's unique venues to showcase emerging indie and established artists both in music and the arts in downtown Ventura. The music will run non-stop from 12 PM - 2 AM for those two days.


California Music Fest is the celebration of the California Culture: Music, Surf, and Art. It takes place Independence weekend in the beautiful city by the sea Ventura, CA in conjunction with the already established and very popular Ventura Street Fair.



Last years street fair featured a massive turn out of over 45,000 people. This year with the City of Ventura's inclusion of the California Music Fest, over 150 bands will be featured as well. The city is expecting an even larger attendance of up to 60,000 for 2009.


In addition, there will be a surf competition running in the early morning to afternoon at Ventura Beach which is only 3 blocks from the stage and venues. Low brow, rock and surf art will be displayed. Live art exhibition produced by Pacific Art Collective (PAC) San Francisco,CA and Surf Expressions produced by Richard “Wing Nut” Weaver.



California Music Fest’s mission in creating this festival is to bring together all elements of California lifestyle in one exciting event.
