Nelsonville Music Festival 2014

The Nelsonville Music Festival is a four day event (May 29-June 1, 2014) at Robbins Crossing on the campus of Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Please read ALL of the information below to make sure you are a good fit for our festival before applying.

The Nelsonville Music Festival has become inundated with band submissions over the years and only encourages bands to submit if they truly believe they are a good potential fit with the opportunity. This means that only bands with a good touring history and proven draw should submit. If you have never toured outside of your hometown, you will most likely not be chosen. Please look at the history of artists the Nelsonville Music Festival has presented in the past to help you decide if your band is a good fit for the festival.

The Nelsonville Music Festival continues to be one of the best in the region and one of the most unique music festivals in the country. Set in the beautiful, rolling hills of Southeast Ohio, this intimate festival continues to gain fans who want a music festival with a more personal experience. Catch live music on multiple stages including a small no-fi cabin and a picturesque porch stage in addition to their main stage. NMF offers camping on site, kids activities, local art vendors, food, and a beer garden. The festival is a production of Stuarts Opera House, a historic, non-profit theater located in Nelsonville. The chosen band will be contacted after our closing date for submissions to discuss all the details. A minimum of 1 Sonicbids artist will be invited to perform and all artists will be compensated for their performance. 

Taking place May 29-June 1, 2013, the festival will feature about 40 artists and is expected to draw more than 5000 fans. 

They are seeking one Sonicbids artist in the genre of Rock & Roll, Folk, Alt-Country, Weirdo, Jazz, Classic Country, World, and other similar styles.

Compensation

All artists are compensated; pay varies based on the act.

Acts will also be provided hospitality and may also sell their merchandise and retain 90% of the proceeds.
