The Opportunity
Festival of Friends is Southern Ontario's largest annual free music festival. This year's event marks the 39th year of the festival. Each year, over 40 artists are selected to perform in front of 300,000+ people over 3 days.
There is a wonderful sense of community at the event as participation from artisans, vendors, community groups, local business and volunteerism hold the foundations of the organization. They stand firmly on the strength of their programming and ability to present the best headliners and musical talent free to those who attend, making the Festival of Friends the most anticipated and well-attended festival.
Highlights from 2013's fantastic line-up include Taboo (of the Black Eyed Peas), Chubby Checker, Airbourne, Theory of a Deadman, David Clayton Thomas, Mickey Hart Band, Dragonette and Maestro Fresh Wes.
