Summary
Fountain Square and Washington Park will select at least 4 Sonicbids artists for their 2015 events including a summer music series and one-time events. Negotiable compensation will be provided.
The Opportunity
Fountain Square is Cincinnati's premier public space. Located in the center of downtown, Fountain Square is where Cincinnati connects, attracting over 2 million people annually to it's special events, free concerts, tailgates, and lunchtime contests.
Washington Park is a civic space in the heart of Cincinnati in the Over the Rhine neighborhood. Live performances throughout the summer are free the public and range from bluegrass to R&B to jazz.

DJ Jazzy Jeff, We Were Promised Jetpacks, OK Go, Los Lobos, Kid Capri, Candyland, Talib Kweli, The National, Wussy, Over the Rhine, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Keke Wyatt, Chromeo, Afghan Whigs, Delfeayo Marsalis, Rob Base
The Band
- Most genres are considered, but the most commonly selected artists are country/bluegrass, reggae, acoustic singer/songwriter, Latin, indie/alternative, and R&B
- Artists are usually booked 6 to 8 weeks in advance of show date.
- Original artists and songwriters are preferred
- Family-friendly content, PG-rated only
- Solo artists, bands, and DJs will all be considered
The Gig
Details:
- Set lengths range from 30 to 90 minutes, potential to book multiple sets
- Professional sound and lighting provided
- Backline is not provided
- In house sound engineer available
- Outdoor venues
- Bands should expect to handle all travel and hotel accommodations
- Varying degree of payment for performances, negotiated at time of booking
- 1 drink ticket per band member
- Artists keep 100% of merchandise sales; artist to provide seller
