The Rising Star Showcase:

Features up and coming bands from the northern Virginia/DC Metro area or from the Pennsylvania to North Carolina region. A bio or discography demonstrating work on regional college campuses is a plus. Music should be 85% original. A strong fan base and the ability to show local draw is important. Approximately $800.00 per 45 minute set. Standard backline is provided and must be used due to staging logistics and quick turn times. Hotels generally not provided.

The Café Stage:

Located in the beer garden surrounded by picnic tables for listening, this heavily trafficked area is home to the Café Stage. This stage features singer-songwriter, high quality original music and performers. Past performers include Magpie, The Nield Sisters, Robbie Schaefer, Shane Hines, and Luke Brindley. Café Stage favorites are often asked back to play in our Amp’D Up program with their band in a plugged-in format. Duos and Trios up to a quartet can be featured on this stage.

Kids’ Cabaret:

The Herndon Festival is always looking for great acts to feature on our children’s/family stage. Musical and variety acts are both considered. Preference given to acts that mom and dad can enjoy almost as much as the kids.

The Herndon Festival provides professional sound services and a no commission environment for artist-sold CD’s and merchandise. The Festival provides excellent promotion and exposure to all entertainers. A photo and bio for each performance group is posted on our website that gets approximately 32,675 visits a season from all over the world. Due consideration will be given to those performers who submit a well populated page. Providing touring calendars along with thorough information is essential.
