Summary

The Independent Music World Series (IMWS) is the country's most exciting live music showcase, giving indie artists the chance to perform in front of top music industry executives and compete for over $35,000 in recording gear, instruments, CD manufacturing services, DJ equipment, and more. The IMWS searches for the best unsigned talent in each of four regions throughout the country (the Southwest, Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast). Professional music screeners from TAXI will listen to each submission and select 100 semi-finalists, and the editors of Billboard magazine will choose the top six finalists, to be announced on April 15th, who will perform in front of fans and industry judges at The Elbo Room in Chicago, IL on May 13, 2004. This submission is for the Midwest IMWS. Eligible states include: IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, ND, OK, SD and WI. International entrants are also welcome to enter this contest.
