Summary
SCENE Music Festival, returns for its 19th year in St. Catharine's. The annual festival has evolved into one of the largest and most anticipated, all-ages, independent music festivals in the region. This year, for the first time, the festival will be held over a two-day period, with the mainstage relocating to Montebello Park in St. Catharine's.
SCENE has selected over 300 Sonicbids artists to perform since 2009 and in 2014 the festival is again looking to select at number of Sonicbids artists to play in venues right across downtown St. Catharine's.
While maintaining the original festival's focus on Niagara-based independent acts, SCENE has become a more diverse event over the years, showcasing a number of international artists and talent from across Canada. Last year's SCENE Music Festival drew over 5,000 attendees and attracted industry and media interest throughout North America. The festival has provided a vital springboard for such local artists as Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Silverstein, City & Colour, Shad, USS, Cancer Bats, Monster Truck, Bedouin Soundclash & more.
Terms And Conditions
In consideration of being chosen to perform at the SCENE Music Festival, I (we) the undersigned jointly & severally agree that our performance(s) may be edited, broadcast, reproduced, distributed and downloaded without limitation through any means, and I (we) shall not receive any compensation for our participation.
I (we) confirm that any material furnished for the SCENE Music Festival is either my (our) own or otherwise authorized for such use without obligation. I (we) agree to the use of my (our) name(s), likeness(es), portraits or pictures, voice(s), instrumental performance(s), and biographical material for any Program or Series publicity, educational or promotional purposes.
I (we) further agree that my (our) participation in the SCENE Music Festival confers upon me (us) no rights of use, ownership, interest, or compensation whatsoever.
I (we) hereby release the SCENE Music Festival, Stumble Recording Co., The Union Events Ltd, its producers, employees, agents, assigns and venues from any and all direct or indirect liabilities or third party claims which may arise in connection with my (our) participation in the SCENE Music Festival.
It is understood that SCENE Music Festival is under no obligation to broadcast or otherwise distribute my (our) performance(s) as part of the Program series.
