2015 SoundClash Music Awards

The SoundClash Music Award is looking for Sonicbids artists to play at their Harbourfront Centre's annual live music competition. Grand prize winners will receive up to $5,000 in cash prizes.

The SoundClash Music Award is Harbourfront Centre's annual live music competition for cutting-edge, forward-thinking artists from all genres. A jury of music-industry trendsetters and insiders select a shortlist of finalists to perform at Harbourfront Centre's Party on the Block Festival, running July 10-12. 

Winners will be selected by a combination of jury and public voting and will be awarded a combined total of $10,000 in cash and other prizes. Public voting runs from June 8-July 10 at Harbourfront Centre's website. The winner will be announced Monday, July 20.

• Only open to independent artists from the Greater Toronto Area (Durham, Halton, Peel, and York)
• Artists must have at least three songs in their EPK, press photos, and web links
• Videos of live performances are preferred
• Diverse, contemporary and cutting-edge music preferred
• Music must be family-friendly, clean and suitable for an audience of all ages
• Employees of Harbourfront Centre are NOT eligible to apply

• Public voting runs from June 8 to July 10; The winner will be announced on Monday July 20
• If selected as finalist, artists must be able to preform a 30-minute set at the Party on the Block festival July 10-12
• The winner must be available to perform a 60-minute set at the Hot & Spicy Food Festival, Sept 4-7

• 1st prize: $5,000
• 2nd prize: $3,000
• 3rd prize: $2,000
• Plus prizes from Banko Media, Musi Artist Development, Music Ontario, VocalCoach.ca and Moog Audio.
• Shortlist artists will have the opportunity to participate in select Camp programmes as special guests, in collaboration with our Camps and Education team, between June 30 and July 10
