Summary

Alive@Five is an outdoor summer concert series with live music from national and regional headliners, which attracts after work crowds and families. Columbus Park is the place to be during the summer as Stamford Downtown produces great music, great dancing and great times. The event takes place on six Thursday nights, starting July 10 through August 14, 2014, and there is 1 slot reserved for Sonicbids artists.

Weekly attendance regularly exceeds 8,000 people and opening and closing nights of the series have drawn peak crowds topping out at 14,000. The series has grown significantly in the past several years to feature more and more prominent national headliners and has become a staple of the regional music scene in Fairfield and Westchester Counties.

Past headliners have included: Third Eye Blind, Lee DeWyze, MC Hammer, Dennis DeYoung, Vertical Horizon, Five for Fighting, The B52s, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Sugar Ray, Boyz II Men, Smash Mouth, Sister Hazel, Don McLean, Better Than Ezra, Blues Traveler, Rusted Root and The Beach Boys. The event also features a "sponsor village" and a food court with signature offerings from various local restaurants.

Artists are given the opportunity to sell merchandise during their set. Artists will supply their own personnel to staff the merchandise tent and all proceeds from merchandise are retained by the artist. There are two opening acts on each Thursday night. Supporting artists perform a 45 minute set. Shows begin at 5:00pm in Columbus Park. Artists should perform original music only. Opening Bands that have performed at Alive@Five in the past are not eligible to perform again. There is no monetary compensation for Opening Bands.

Alive@Five on the Bud Light Stage, in partnership with Stamford Town Center and BevMax, is produced by Stamford Downtown and the City of Stamford.
