Summary

Baltimore's Starscape Festival draws over over 7,500 people to Fort Armistead Park each June. It has featured big names like Pretty Lights, Lotus, and The New Deal, The Disco Biscuits, Medeski Martin & Wood, Bassnectar, Slick Rick, and many more. At least 1 Sonicbids DJ and 1 Sonicbids live band will be selected. Each will be compensated $200 for their performance./n/nThe 13th annual Starscape Festival will be held June 4, 2011 at Fort Armistead Park in Baltimore, MD. Last year's attendance was over 7,500 to the day/night festival held on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. At least 1 Sonicbids DJ and 1 Sonicbids live band will be selected to play the festival.


Selected artists will be compensated $200 for their performance. They will also be featured in Starscape email blasts, listed on billing, and given a great opportunity to get exposure to a large audience. Starscape can also provide discounted hotel rooms to reduce travel costs.

The festival has had a wide variety of performers including: Pretty Lights, Lotus, and The New Deal, The Disco Biscuits, Medeski Martin & Wood, Dieselboy, Andy C, Bassnectar, BT, Krafty Kuts, Benevento-Russo Duo, John Brown's Body, Easy Star All Stars, Brothers Past, RJD2, The Beatnuts, Slick Rick, Simply Jeff, The Pietasters, DJ Assault, Faust & Shortee, DJ Craze, Adam F, Richard Vission, Christopher Lawrence, Joe Nice, Big In Japan, Ed Rush & Optical, Evol Intent, Small Town DJs, and more.


Over the past 12 years, Starscape Festival has grown from an underground, strictly electronic dance music & DJ oriented festival to one of the premier urban festivals on the east coast featuring international artists performing various genres of music, including live electronica, reggae, jazz, drum n bass, breaks, house, dubstep, trance, and much more.



The festival also has various other features including a 40 ft live graffiti wall, art installations by regional and national artists, various arts and crafts from a number of local and regional vendors, and a beautiful view of the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay.
