"Less than 24 hours after contacting BBC Radio Kent with the news that I had made it as a twice-finalist in The UK Songwriting Contest, the newsdesk came back to me and organised an interview. The UK Songwriting Contest is open to songwriters from around the globe, and is expected to award over $400,000 USD (£300,000) in prizes in 2011, plus an incentives package with every single entry./n/nPlease Note: Results will be published on the UK Songwriting Contest Website on December 20, 2012.

The UK Songwriting Contest is a prestigious international song contest based in London and open to songwriters from around the globe. Every songwriter from any country can showcase songs to the music industry in London and win great prizes including mentoring by top producers, professional production packages and much more. The UKSC will award $400,000 USD (£300,000) in prizes in 2012 including a package of incentives included with every single entry.

The UKSC judges are Grammy, Emmy, CMA and BRIT Award winning Gold and Platinum Album producers and artists. Simon Cowell signed one of the winners of this contest and many past entrants have gone on to write for major artists and TV shows, have been offered publishing and recording deals, and have been featured on TV and radio and in the press.
