FloydFest 2007

Bridging the Gap between Genres, Generations, and Cultures, FloydFest is an annual four day World Music and Arts Festival, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. Floydfest 6: It’s in the Mix will take place July 26-29, 2007. The festival is acclaimed for its eclectic line-up and family-friendly vibe, showcasing World, Bluegrass, Afrobeat, Old-time, Reggae, Cajun, Americana, Jam, and Folk Genres. Committed to Cultural Preservation, the festival succeeds in blending traditions and arts from dozens of different countries every year into a vision of Global Community. From the hottest acts touring today, to those so exclusive you can only experience at FloydFest, this is a hometown festival, with a big industry buzz. Providing a holistic experience, FloydFest features eight performance areas, late-night shows, art and craft fair featuring regional and international artisans, a delicious food court, local wines and microbrew, instructional classes on the Workshop Porch, drum and dance workshops at the Global Village, yoga lessons and Healing Arts, special programs and parades at the Children's Universe, camping, pristine mountains, and a true sense of community!

Artists will be compensated for their performance. Two slots, are reserved exclusively for Sonicbids artists.
