Gary Allen, drummer from The Charlie Daniels Band and JJ Cale, is seeking original songs to evaluate for use by bands, soundtracks and licensing through his professional connections as a BMI writer/performer. BMI reports a song that features Gary on drums is played every 4 seconds somewhere on planet Earth. His recorded works can be found on Epic, Sony, Buddah, Mercury, Polygram, K -Tel, Shelter, Blue Hat and Polydor Records. His second recorded work,
Fire On The Mountain, remains the most popular of the CDB catalog and is played daily on classic rock and country formats. It was recently voted the second most played southern rock album by BMI of all time.
Selected song winners will receive a written evaluation by Gary Allen and will be passed on to additional contacts in many cases. Gary does studio work and has a musicians jam twice a month, The Play It Again Jam www.tennesseeconcerts.com/jam . The monthly winner of the best submitted original song will be posted in the newsletter, Music City Beat, with their contact information and photos. The newsletter goes out to thousands of hand picked members of the Nashville music community. Also, the winner will be posted on Tennessee's most popular music events site
