You've got the talent. We've got the gig listings. What could be better than that?

We have an idea.

Use Sonicbids for 6 months, and if you don't get at least one gig, we'll extend your membership another six months. Free.

It's all part of our favorite obsession: boosting your musical career.

We do have three basic requirements, but they're all pretty much all common sense.

Make sure your EPK is totally taken care of. That just means fill out every section. You're probably doing that anyway.

Email your EPK to professional contacts at least five times each month. Again, if you aren't doing this already, well...

Submit your EPK for at least three gigs that make sense for you. What does this mean? Three things:

  • Target gigs that fit what you do. Hint: speed metal festivals don't need polka bands.
  • Target gigs you can get to. Unless you’ve perfected the art of being in two places at once, don't bother with weekly gigs halfway around the world.
  • Target gigs that fit your experience level. Dean Martin was a legend, but even he didn’t have his first number-one hit until he was 38.
And that's it. Try, succeed. Everybody wins. What could be better than that?

How do we define a gig?
  • a festival date
  • a club date
  • a music licensing deal
  • online radio play
  • a songwriting contest
  • a college tour
  • any other opportunity you find on Sonicbids
We have thousands of gig listings and we're adding more every day — which is why we're so confident that you'll find the right one for you.

Our Lawyers Made Us Do It:

Promotion starts September 17, 2007 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m., Eastern time, on September 17, 2008. As of September 17, 2007, any person or group desiring to participate in the Get a Gig Guaranteed promotion must be a Sonicbids subscriber. All subscribers start from a ‘zero gig count’ on September 17, 2007 (and those subscribing thereafter start on their subscription date with Sonicbids), regardless of gigs or other opportunities current subscribers may have acquired prior to September 17, 2007.

Terms of the promotion are: if a Sonicbids subscriber is not selected for any gig offered by promoters through the Sonicbids website in 6 months after subscribing, Sonicbids will extend that subscriber’s subscription for 6 months at no cost to the subscriber. Being contracted for a gig within six months counts even if the gig is later.

The 6 months free subscription is not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.

Sonicbids.com may refuse to grant a 6 months free subscription to subscribers who have not met the following requirements: (1) maintaining their Electronic Press Kit (EPK™) at 90% completion for 6 months, (2) emailing their EPK at least 5 times per month, free of charge, for 6 months with the aim of securing a performance or licensing gig, (3) submitting their EPK to different gigs with the aim of securing a performance or licensing gig, at least 3 times over the course of 6 months. There is no minimum submission price for any of the 3 submissions that subscribers are required to make over the 6-month period. Sonicbids reserves the right to verify all information submitted by a subscriber for the extended subscription prior to awarding the extension. All taxes of every kind, federal, state or local, are the responsibility of subscribers awarded extensions.

Sonicbids.com also has the right to refuse to grant a 6 months free subscription to subscribers who make fraudulent claims for the purpose of receiving a 6 months free subscription, e.g., claiming they were not selected for a gig or other opportunity when they were. Sonicbids reserves the right to terminate or alter this promotion at any time in Sonicbids’ sole discretion, but such termination or alteration will not adversely affect any benefit earned before the termination or alteration date.
