All acts that perform must not charge more than $1000 per gig to the school, and travel costs must be included in that fee for block dates (3 performances in 5 days, 5 performances in 7 days, etc.)
The NACA Mid Atlantic Festival will host schools from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Over 200 student buyers and their advisers from nearly 50 schools are expected to attend the 2011 NACA Mid Atlantic Festival in East Stroudsburg, PA, on March 11-12, 2011, to meet with almost 50 firms, artists and agencies in the Campus Activities Marketplace, NACA's exhibit hall.
More than 40 showcase opportunities are available in various categories.
- Submissions are due by 11:59 PM ET, Tuesday, December 14, 2010
- Artists being submitted must submit a $35 fee
- Artists that are being submitted to showcase must have a current NACA associate membership or be represented by an NACA associate member firm or agency
- NACA National Associate Membership is $725. NACA Mid Atlantic Regional Associate Membership is $358
- NACA associate members submitting artists to showcase must also purchase an exhibit booth ($85)
- NACA membership and exhibit booth application forms are available at the NACA Web site .
An artist's submission is not complete until membership and exhibit booth payment has been submitted to NACA. Thats right. These additional payments must be submitted no later than the December 14, 2010 deadline. The artist's agent (if you have one) may have already submitted membership and exhibit payment; please check with them BEFORE submitting the showcase application in NACA Mid Atlantic Festival's drop box. If membership and booth payment is not submitted to NACA by the artist or the artist's agent, the submission will not be reviewed and the $35 submission fee will be forfeited. Submitting artists will also receive this information in their auto-confirmation email once their on-line submission is received.
After submitting, then what?
A selection committee consisting of student talent buyers and professional staff from a variety of colleges and universities will meet in mid-January to review all applications. Showcase selection results will be announced on the NACA Web site no later than Jan. 21, 2011.
Within two weeks of notification, selected artists must submit a $75 showcase performance fee. Selected artists will receive all access badges to event for the day of their performance.
