The Dawg Daze of Summer Festival will host over 30 musical acts on 3 stages at the Lake Paradise Resort near Lone Jack, MO on July 26th-28th, 2012.
The Dawg Hunt will stop in multiple cities in the Midwest where each night 5 bands will compete for a spot at The Dawg Daze of Summer Festival. The crowd, combined with a panel of judges, will decide which band puts on the best performance and goes on to play at the fesival.
The Dawg Hunt is exclusively booking this event using Sonicbids: 10 Sonicbids artists will be guaranteed a spot at the festival.

March 1st - Des Moines, IA @ The Underground
March 5th - Springfield, MO @ Lindbergs
March 7th - Fayetteville, AR @ Rogue
March 14th - St. Louis, MO @ Pop's Blue Moon
March 15th - Columbia, MO @ Mojo's
March 16th - Kansas City, MO @ Davey's Uptown Rambler's Club
The winner will be determined by 1/3 crowd response and 2/3 judge's scores. Bands will be judged on: composition, crowd interaction, originality, presentation, musician cohesiveness, and chemistry.
You must be local (within 50 miles) to the competition for which you are submitting. If you are farther away than that your submission will NOT be accepted. Winners of past competitions are also not eligible to compete again. Cash compensation for the winner of each competition will be determined on distance from the festival but will not be less than $50. Acts will be paid after their performance at The Dawg Daze of Summer Festival at Lake Paradise Resort in July, 2012. Artists must provide their own travel and be 21+.
Terms and Conditions
You must be LOCAL to the competition for which you are submitting. Local is within 50 miles of the city for which you are competing.
If you are farther away than that your submission will NOT be accepted.
Winners of past competitions are NOT eligible to compete again.
Cash compensation will be determined on distance from the festival but not less than $50.
Compensation will be paid AFTER the Dawg Daze of Summer Festival performance in July of 2012.
Basic drums and bass rig will be backlined for each event.
Drummers are NOT permitted to bring their own drum kit and MUST use the drum kit provided with the exception of; Snare Drum, Cymbals/Cymbal Stands, Throne and Kick Pedal.
There will be 15 minutes in between each competitor. Any band going over this time will not be permitted to continue to play after scheduled and allotted time slot in order to keep things running on time. (exception is unexpected technical difficulties with the provided PA system)
Points will be deducted for unprofessional behavior and attitudes.
